Actions and Reactions: Why Stand Up to Hate?

Events in Charlottesville, VA this summer sent shock waves through our community.  How do incidents of blatant hate speech and violence impact our community, our children, ourselves? What can we do to support those victimized by events such as these?

Join us Tuesday, October 10th at 7:00 p.m. as David D’Amico walks us through the experiences and “shoes” of victims of hate.  Learn how we can step up as heroes, leaders, and role models against bias and violence in our community.

David D’Amico is Chief Investigator of Internal Affairs for the Middlesex County Department of Corrections & Youth Services. Detective D’Amico worked in the Bias Crimes division of the Office of the Monmouth County Prosecutor for over thirteen years and is a certified trainer in Bias Crimes Investigations, Cultural Diversity, & Sensitivity Training.
