2025 Colloquium - The Art of Dialogue: Recognizing Humanity in Each Other

Chhange presented its 43rd Annual Colloquium on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, on the campus of Brookdale Community College.

Our plenary featured Asma Rasheed and Braden Chapman, two young leaders from BridgeUSA, an organization for students and by students dedicated to reducing political division by engaging young people directly in constructive dialogue across lines of difference.

Asma is the founder and former president of the Stony Brook chapter of BridgeUSA, and Braden is the former president of the Indiana University chapter. Their presentation will highlight examples of “bad dialogue” while showcasing “good dialogue” and actively engaging Colloquium participants in the process.

Breakout Sessions included a variety of workshops led by educators, Survivors, scholars, and community activists.

Each year this is a not-to-be-missed event for 5th-12th graders!

Pictures of the event are coming soon!

Chhange educates, inspires, and empowers individuals to stand up to injustice.
