Henry Newman

Henry Newman graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management. Over the course of his career, he worked as an actuary for 10 insurance-related companies.

Although he was aware of the Holocaust and the Rwandan Genocide, he knew little of the Armenian Genocide. When Newman retired, he became a volunteer docent for Chhange and ever since, he has led numerous Armenian-centered tours - teaching and learning with each group.

Newman and his wife, Debbie, live in Marlboro - midway between his grandchildren with his son and daughter-in-law in Maplewood, NJ, and his daughter and son-in-law in Philadelphia. He was an associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Chhange educates, inspires, and empowers individuals to stand up to injustice.
